Children in North Ayrshire will have access to high quality play areas as a result of an investment of £1,156,000 by the SNP Government.
Since 2021, North Ayrshire Council has already received £235,000 to fund the refurbishment of children’s play parks.
Over the next three years the investment will be:
2023-24 £231,000 2024-25 £347,000 2025-26 £578,000
Across Scotland, the SNP Government and Convention of Scottish Local Authorities have agreed £50 million in funding to local authorities over the next three years, following on from £10million in the last two.
Playing outdoors has huge benefits for children’s physical and mental wellbeing and refurbished play parks ensure children can access high quality and safe environments.
