What should Primary Health Care Look Like in the Future?

For most people primary care is their first point of contact with the National Health Service.

Primary care is provided by generalist health professionals including general practitioners (GPs), community nurses, midwives and pharmacists, dentists and opticians. GP practice receptionists and practice managers are also members of the team which might also include allied health professionals such as physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

The Scottish Parliament’s Health and Sport Committee is running an inquiry on primary care. If you would like to tell the Committee what you think of current services and how they can be improved and sustained in the future, please complete the survey at:

The survey closes on Tuesday 30 April 2019.
