Quarriers North Ayrshire Befriending Service supports people with dementia, with funding from the Life Changes Trust and Big Lottery Fund. The service aims to, stop social isolation, combat loneliness, depression and anxiety and keep the person actively involved in the community.
Patricia presented awards to local people who had given so much of their time and themselves to help and befriend some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
Befriending is a services people with dementia and their carers say they most value. Quarriers is actively looking to recruit new volunteers.
