Kenneth spoke in the Parliamentary debate regarding the next steps for Scotland's economy in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Kenneth spoke about the challenges faced by local businesses including in the tourism sector, saying: "I warmly welcome the Cabinet Secretary’s announcement that the £51,000 rateable value limit for grants, which risked the future of major hospitality businesses, has been lifted to £500,000. That will help Auchrannie and many of the 2,380 businesses in Scotland that employ 250 or more people." He also touched upon the need for creative thinking and innovative solutions to help our economy recover from what is not only a public health crisis, but also an economic one.
