61,930 People Supported Through the SNP Government’s ‘No One Left Behind’ Approach

Latest employability figures show that 61,930 people have are receiving support through the SNP Government’s No One Left Behind approach, with 19,146 people moving into work.

In North Ayrshire up until March 2024 there had been 3,546 Fair Start Scotland referrals and 2,352 starts.

The Scottish Government this week published the No One Left Behind Employability Strategic Plan 2024-2027, which outlines the key priorities for No One Left Behind over the next three years and identifies the actions it will take to deliver on these priorities, reaffirming its commitment to continuous improvement.

This includes a commitment to introduce a local, flexible model of Specialist Employability Support across all 32 Local Authorities.

This approach will adhere to the principles of No One Left Behind whilst ensuring a dedicated service offer for disabled people and those with long term health conditions.

People who choose to participate will:

• receive support from an Employability Key Worker, and

• work with the Key Worker on an individual plan to help them reach their goals
