Figures published last week show renewable energy generation in Scotland continues to come on leaps and bounds.
Compared to 2021, renewable energy generation was up 28% and the output generated in 2022 was the equivalent of powering all households in Scotland for three and half years!
Scotland is a net exporter of electricity and – were our exports actually sold to the network, instead of subsumed into the UK grid – they would have been worth £4 billion in 2022.
By becoming independent and taking control of energy from Westminster, Scotland could further develop renewables, make bills more affordable and ensure we fully realise the benefits of our massive natural resources.
