Last Friday, Patricia Gibson MP and I held our 11th Employment Fayre, the first since the pandemic, in Saltcoats Town Hall.
Employers from Ayrshire and across Scotland actively participated, as well as hundreds of North Ayrshire school pupils and adults looking for employment, apprenticeships or an idea of what career opportunities are available.
Due to the number of participants and attendees both the Main Hall and Harbour Suite were fully utilised.
We thank all of the enthusiastic attendees and trust they secured some of the brilliant employment opportunities showcased and those businesses and public services which took the time to participate and recruit from our local communities.
And of course, it could not have taken place without the hard work of Ciaran, Grace, Lindsay, Louise and Yannick in our offices, local members who promoted the event and Gary at Saltcoats Town Hall.
I’m also grateful to Cllr Margaret Johnson and Café Solace for providing free tea and coffee throughout.
