This £15 million Scottish Gas scheme will provide targeted support for customers in or facing fuel poverty, helping them to either not fall into debt or reduce existing debt.
The company will match £ for £ energy payments made by struggling customers most in need of help.
For example, a customer paying £100 a month will see an additional £600 credited to their account by Scottish Gas over six months, assisting significantly with their energy costs or outstanding balances.
Scottish Gas will proactively identify and contact tens of thousands of eligible customers, who will receive this support following an assessment by specialist advisors.
