North Ayrshire Council (NAC) is investigating community-led solutions to issues people are experiencing across North Ayrshire, including a Community Transport service.
Reliable and frequent public transportation is an absolute necessity for my constituents and people across Scotland, which is why the SNP Government is investing £429.7 million this year in support of bus services, concessionary travel and more incentives for the take up of cleaner, greener vehicles.
Better connectivity is an especially acute issue.
I am glad that the SNP-led NAC is “driving ahead with a plan to learn more about what services people need in communities when it comes to transport,” as part of the Community Transport Pathfinder project.
Community Transport can range from a subsidised local village bus, a door-to-door bus service, or community bike hire locations.
