It is now simpler and more affordable for homeowners to install climate-friendly heat and energy efficiency measures in their homes.
Homeowners can now apply for a stand-alone grant of £7,500 from the Home Energy Scotland Scheme to install heat pumps. Previously, applicants were required to sign up for a loan before they qualified for this funding.
The new approach offers greater flexibility for those looking to make their homes more climate friendly.
Reducing emissions from homes and buildings is a key aim of Scottish Ministers in helping to end our contribution to climate change.
The SNP Government’s Heat in Buildings Strategy sets out ambitious targets to transform how buildings are heated and insulated with over £1,800 million committed to support its delivery.
