First Minister Humza Yousaf MSP announced his opposition to draconian UK Government proposals that would demonise travelling football fans across Scotland.
For example, under the UK Traffic Commissioner’s proposals, bus operators would have to notify a Dedicated Football Officer with the total number and the names of all travelling fans 48 hours before the game.

The FM echoed a joint statement issued on behalf of the Scottish FA, Scottish Professional Football League, and Scottish Women’s Premier League which said that the proposals would “interfere unnecessarily in people’s lives.”
SNP Minister for Sport, Maree Todd has also written to the UK Traffic Commissioner to convey the Scottish Government’s concerns
